Solar Panel Inverters

Solar inverters are a critical component in a solar energy system. It performs the conversion of the variable DC output of the Photovoltaic (PV) modules into a utility frequency AC current that can be fed into the commercial electrical grid or used by a local, off-grid electrical network.


An inverter allows use of ordinary mains-operated appliances on a grid system. Solar inverters have special functions adapted for use with PV arrays, including maximum power point tracking and anti-islanding protection.

Power One Inverters

Our Power One inverters are high speed, extremely user-friendly as well as being compact and light for ease of installation. These transformerless inverters offer a higher efficiency and our models come with a 10 year warranty as standard.

Our Power One inverters come with high speed MPPT for improved energy harvesting and an LCD display for an easy to understand graphical display, the PVI2000 having an integrated data logger. These inverters work well with a variety of Solar PV modules and a dual input section allows the process of two strings with independant MPPT. Fronius Inverters

Our Fronius IG inverters are extremely user-friendly and provide a quick and easy installation. The intelligent Module Manager process helps optimise yields and the powerful HF transformer ensures maximum energy from your Solar PV modules.

The Fronius DATCOM components provide a monitoring system which is informative and easy to read. Highly reliable and flexible, our Fronius IG inverters are hugely efficient and work well with many different Solar PV modules. Currently, Planet Solar use the following Fronius inverters – IG15, IG20, IG30 and IG40.
