You Have The Right To Install Solar Panels In Your Home

It has been announced that Prince Charles has won his fight to have solar panelling installed at his royal residence, Clarence House. He has done this to make the property more energy efficient and to bring about a reduction in energy bills. The 32 panels which are due to be installed usually have a lifespan of around 30 years, so will result in a great amount of savings over this period of time. This news will hopefully raise the profile of solar panelling to the wider public as it can benefit everyone, no matter what kind of background you come from.

Clarence House was built around 180 years ago, so it just proves that solar panels can be installed at any property no matter how old or contemporary it is. Once the solar PV is applied onto the roof of a home, it will be virtually unnoticeable to people and will therefore not spoil its existing look. They will enable you to produce your own energy, rather than having to rely purely on conventional heating and lighting systems, particularly during the summer when sunlight is present for prolonged periods.

Photovoltaic systems may seem like a heavy burden on your wallet when you first purchase them, but you need to think in the long term as they will be saving you hundreds of pounds each year. This means that they will eventually pay for themselves and you will get your money back and much more. All homes will have to consider taking measures like this in the future unless they want to be continually punished with ever increasing energy bills.

Solar panels do not have to just be a purchase for the rich, as it is unlikely you will need 32 panels, usually a small amount of panels can do just as good a job for a smaller property.
