British Gas has said that if all temples, synagogues, churches and mosques switched they could earn £29million. Although, you would not be saving anything near that if you had solar panels installed at home, you could literally save a packet by changing your home life in this way.
This is due to the fact that solar electricity is created via natural light, so when the days are long you can turn off your traditional heating systems and instead purely rely on your solar PV to provide you with the energy you need. The energy of produced through photovoltaic systems is renewable, meaning that they will continually produce energy in your home in the summer from the time you wake up, until the time you go to sleep at night time.
You can also lay claim to the fact that you will not be contributing to global warming as the panelling will fight against that, whereas heating and electrical systems are damaging to the environment and planet as a whole. The costs of installing panelling can be expensive, but when you consider that they will continue to work and stay in good condition for at least the next 30 years, just think about the amount of money you will be saving on your normal energy bills. In that time you will most likely have covered the cost of installation with the savings you will have made in the intervening period.
